Innovative Writing Tool Research: Inquiry & Assessment

Research a digital platform or digital writing tool that claims to support student writing instruction or that could be used in a writing instruction environment. Identify pedagogical assumptions — they are always there — and attitudes toward writing, students, and teachers. 

Provide in your report:

  • Link to the platform or tool
  • Your analysis of how it works, from a practical perspective
  • Your analysis of its attitudes toward writing, students, and teachers: can you identify any underlying assumptions or principles?
  • Screen shots that help readers understand the concept
  • A discussion of how you could — or could not — use the platform in your own teaching
