Hi! My name is Bridget. I am a Liberal Arts student at Michigan Tech University. This spring (2009) I am studying in Bangkok, Thailand at Rangsit University. In this blog I will be documenting my experience as a student and traveler in Asia. This Blog is intended for friends, family, and other students or travelers who want to share my adventures.
By keeping an online diary I am also fulfilling my promise to complete a follow-on project for the Gilman Institute. This fall I applied to them for a scholarship that will help pay tuition for my study abroad program. As the proud recipient of one of their scholarships it is now my privilege to help spread the word about the scholarships that the Gilman Institute offers students who are interested in studying abroad. I have posted a link to the Gilman home page if anyone is curious.
I am hoping that this diary will influence students who would like to travel but are worried about not having enough time, money, or experience to go abroad. There is no better time than now. Don’t let money hold you back. Experience something new.
