This course includes the study of written and oral communication in technical and scientific environments; emphasizes audience, writing processes, genres of scientific and technical discourse, visual communication, collaboration, professional responsibility, clear and correct expression.

At the end of the course you will know how to,

  • Analyze and thoughtfully discuss the primary, secondary, and tertiary audiences for your work
  • Prepare usability and readability feedback sessions with people who will be using your work
  • Practice iterative and mindful approaches to writing, revising, editing, and proofreading your work
